Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Just yesterday, the cochin bloggers group had a quick meetup at Cafe Coffeeday,.

As usual, along with the steamy discussions, came up some productive thoughts too.

We were thinking of new ways to promote the “citizen blogging” concept for KeralaCitizenBloggers, and came up with an idea of viral video series for KCB. We made an instant video right from the place and look what we came up with.

We would be releasing more of the series soon.

The idea is to make awareness among the youth towards blogging, and how the power of blogging can help the society in a better way.

Bloggers who would like to join KCB can contact us here, just let us know why YOU ?

Mango Weekends Free movie tickets at Sridhar

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

Radio Mango has announced an interesting initiative in Cochin, to make our weekends eventful. Free movie tickets for movie buffs in Cochin! (Yawn..)

Well, for Cochin people (Kochiites?), weekends means movie and dinner with a walk around the rainbow bridge is it not? So, this seems to be a good offer that might click. Radio Mango says, they’ll be offering free movie tickets (for latest movies) to all those who win participating in their contests, which are extremely tough to win and requires extra ordinary IQ. :D

Right now, they are in partnership with Sridhar Cinemas, which has a capacity of 560 seats, so that means Radio Mango “might” provide 1120 tickets over a weekend? Nah, they may only have a limited amount to give off, but that’s OK – a fair deal.

So, one movie, one theatre, 560 seats, two days, one damn crowd ! Interesting. Hope they’ll partner out with all the movie houses in Cochin.

Cochin Bloggers group and Kerala Blogcamp

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

As the number of cities jumping in to the Bloggers camps are increasing every day, Cochin the Queen of Arabian Sea will have a new group that boasts of the techies and creative bloggers – a rare mix. There is a Google group for cochin bloggers here, that keeps track of meetups, and discussions from bloggers in and around Cochin. If you are from Cochin and likes to meet new people and learn new things, feel free to join the community.

There is a lot of heat gathering up in Cochin in the blogging arena and technology swings, as the new Infopark is getting ready. Well, the real estate business is growing around this area more rapidly probably, but that’s a good sign of developments to come.

As you might have guessed, I’m currently in Cochin and is looking forward to set base here as I see that there’s a bright future for bloggers and blogging community here.

I will also be attending the Kerala Blogcamp that’s happening on a houseboat in Allepey this Aug 16. That’s quite a lot this season eh?
