As usual, along with the steamy discussions, came up some productive thoughts too.
We were thinking of new ways to promote the “citizen blogging” concept for KeralaCitizenBloggers, and came up with an idea of viral video series for KCB. We made an instant video right from the place and look what we came up with.
We would be releasing more of the series soon.
The idea is to make awareness among the youth towards blogging, and how the power of blogging can help the society in a better way.

MTV Roadies – Insulting people to make a living ? Wow, that sure sounds like fun
Sunday, December 21st, 2008Honestly, I quite like the show, no foul mouth, it’s fun and entertainment after all. And I must agree that Raghu Ram is a keen observer and is a great analyst, he’s great at auditions too. But from what is seen on TV (a lot would be unseen to us anyway) the show looks way stupid. I mean, stupid because it’s taking people for granted. If you think insulting people for a living is cool, I pity you brother.
Watching this video where an otherwise jolly Nikhil Chinnapa, go way over the top, is simply put – awful !
I mean…dude…. I thought you went to college once, you’re behaving like you never did man !
I just sincerely wish that this show does not break any poor soul who might get chucked out ! It won’t by most chances, and I guess that this is only a “show”. But convince me Mr. Raghu Ram is a good mentor who can cheer up and brighten a lost soul. Screwing ones happiness is easy job mate!
Sheru the dog who survived the Mumbai attacks
Saturday, December 20th, 2008Sheru was a stray dog hit by an errant bullet when two gunmen opened fire in a crowded railway station during the first night of the assault. The survival of the aging Sheru, despite a gunshot wound to his left shoulder, has become an uplifting and soothing symbol of Mumbai’s recovery to many of the city’s anxious and angry citizens.
That’s the story on WashingtonPost, that caught my attention today.
It’s a touching story I couldn’t resist posting.

Well, looks like many of us would actually be serious about this in the future. Some folks from Japan (particularly women) are bothered about Blood types and even go to the extreme of predicting your personality based on it.
So what will happen to all those bollywood flicks where the hero says –
“Khoon to sab ka lal hota hai” ?
May be the new Warner bros sponsored ones will say something along the lines of
“Khoon to sab ka different hota hai. Jaisa Khoon waisi Kismat ! Be positive ( B+ ) ”.
Well, before jumping into conclusions, there has been no scientific evidence to it. It’s more like a “rumor” from Japan. Keeping in mind all the rumors the Japanese have churned out, this too might go un noticed. But I should accept that this is a well built rumor. Because it’s getting soon popular in the “we are immune to rumors” countries.

The Whopper Virgins test by Burger King

Here’s an interesting “experiment” from Burger King. Well; it’s sort of an online marketing social media campaign from Burger King, so no surprise if this is something weird.
Okay, what BK does is go out to remote places on the planet, pick up people who have no clue what burgers are, who have never heard of that word even and give them the Mac D burger and the Burger King Whopper to taste/eat.
It’s interesting to see what these people would select from the two options. It’s a nice social media experiment and it’s already getting great reviews !
Slumdog Millionaire – Sounds great !
Sunday, December 7th, 2008This one’s clearly a winner ! The movie now going in for Oscar nominations and all the hype it’s gathered up along with it, you know.
There are a few things that will easily help you identify “quality” movies. And I can’t think of any good reason to think this one’s otherwise.
A great director, a story with soul, great piece of music, and a big heart. All the reviews so far heard on Slumdog Milionaire are hugely encouraging.
The music is outstanding with performance by M.I.A and A.R. Rahman (Music Director). It’s not the traditional bollywood style music but more aligned towards the story.
Reviews also suggest that the actors (Dev Patel) performance is very promising and some even say he’s the next big thing.
I’m waiting for the release here in India, rumored to be around the time Oscars nominations are open.
Pak media says that the Mumbai attacks were carried out by Indian elements
Friday, December 5th, 2008This piece of news came to me as a shock, when I saw the Pakistan media blaming the Mumbai attacks on Indian “terrorist” elements.
Here are the proofs they claim.
Mr. Hemant Karkare had worked hard on the Malegaon blasts case and already found that some elements supported by Mr.Modi and BJP was behind it. And Mr. Karkare was about to get close to them.
It is for this reason, that the Mumbai attack was orchestrated, and blame put on Islamic Terrorists.
They also claim that Indian elements did not want the Hindu extremist groups behind the Malegaon attacks to be arrested, and wanted something outrageous to happen to blind the common man and turn their attention away from the Malegaon case.
Some Paki bloggers have also claimed that this is the reason why Mr. Karkare’s wife denied the “gift” from Mr. Modi.
The media also reported that they terrorists had saffron thread banded on their hands, and was looking more like Hindus, which are evidences that the attackers were Indians.
This gentleman in the video above also claims that the name of the two attackers are “Amar Singh” and “Heera Lal” , which he confirmed from police officers belonging to the Dalit and oppressed communities of India. (That sounds like a perfect plot!!)
Now, the interesting part is that none of them are commenting about Amir Ajmal Kasab being captured and interrogated. Wonder what their reply is to his disclosures !!
